Amanda is originally from Manitowoc, WI. She and her husband, Jeff, lived in Kenosha for several years after college. In 2007 they relocated to the Green Bay area for Jeff's job. Prior to becoming a full-time SAHM after moving, she worked in animal welfare and then a most beloved job for the public library system. She and her husband are blessed to be parents to 4 children – Lauren, Luke, Oscar, and Estelle (with baby #5 due in September). They also have two beloved dogs Marley and Ryker. Amanda is passionate about encouraging and learning from other mamas in all walks of life. She is interested in all things health and wellness related, history, travel, reading, gluten free baking and coffee! Most importantly she loves spending time with her family. Recently her family moved "out to the country" and they are loving the outdoor space and adventures more than they imagined.

eal life looks different for each mama.  The beautiful thing is we all have different strengths and weaknesses.  Our differences make us even more equipped to help each other out.  I definitely want to see what you’re good at and get some extra tips on improving the messier areas of my life. And if you’re in need of some encouragement, maybe I can share some tips from my strengths department. I’m not above asking; if you really have it together all the time, please PLEASE share your tips with me.

I remember watching one of my closest friends putting her baby to her breast. It was like magic.  It was as if baby and mom were perfectly connected.  Meanwhile, I sat attached to my pump EVERY 3 hours.  I still needed to use formula. I felt like I failed to connect with my baby.  I’d cry because the sound of my pump parts clicking together made my milk let down…not the cry of my baby.

In September, my husband and I were blessed with our fifth baby! It seems surreal. What most people don’t know, is that our precious boy is really our 9th child.  October is Miscarriage and Infant Loss Awareness month and the ache hits close to home as I hold my newborn.  I haven’t forgotten, nor will I ever forget, the babes that I did not get to hold this side of heaven.
