Stephanie was born and raised in the Green Bay area. After meeting her husband Tom at UWSP while earning a degree in elementary education, they returned to the area to start their family and careers. Stephanie has been blessed with two outgoing and entertaining children - Landon and Ava. Teaching third grade keeps her plenty busy during the school year but she couldn’t imagine doing anything else! When she’s not at school, Stephanie loves to read, cook (and pretend to be a Masterchef), spend time in Door Co with family and craft/DIY. Her favorite thing in the world is to take her kids to free adventures all around town (or find a great deal while shopping her with her mom!) Literacy is a true passion of Stephanie’s which inspired her to also start her own business with Usborne Books & More!

Neither one of us splurges or goes all out for Christmas, birthdays or Valentine's Day. We get what we need all year, so we sometimes don't exchange more than a card! If you are like me, or even if you aren't and go big, here is a practical gift that gives all year long! Any gift that can bring some positive thoughts and love to your marriage all year for under $10 is a winner to me!

Easy, Candy-Free Valentines!

I know there are a ton of lists out there of candy-free Valentines. I was very intentional with my list - I purposely tried to pick ones that were easy to make, had a free printable attached and didn't require 4 trips to the craft store and special tools or supplies. Because honestly, who has time for that. And if you do, you probably have your own amazing creations that aren't on this list! So without further ado....

Call Me Old Fashioned…. About Thank-Yous

Sometimes I wish I lived many years ago, when times were just simpler (or at least they appeared to be).  When life had a slower pace and the ways of the world were a bit different.  Call  me old-fashioned if you want to…

Ode to My Shower

I don’t have a big bathroom at all. It’s not fancy. The shower head is whatever WPS installed on their energy plan visit.  It’s not a walk-in or tile. I don’t even like the shower curtain anymore. But I LOVE my shower.  I mean LOVE.

I Do It All…

Can I get an Amen?  I mean as moms we do it all! Right?!  When we get ready to go on a vacation the standing joke at our house is that my husband just has to show up with his clothes. All other details are thought of.  And this doesn’t just apply to special events like trips, but day-to-day life too. Moms’ brains are constantly thinking, worrying, planning and so are our bodies. Our job is never done, many times thankless, and therefore, I can say, “I do it all.” And I’m lying.

Maybe I’m not the only one, but I think a lot about how things were different when I was a kid. It might because I’m in the midst of raising my own children. It...

There's a funny saying that goes around each year.  June is like Friday, July is our Saturday and August is a long Sunday night!  This is definitely true. The business of August is something...
