So we slow down. We all do it, right? The long bike rides and leisurely strolls are set aside for when warmer temps return – our outdoor aerobic activities limited to scraping windshields and shivering. If it weren’t for leftover Halloween candy, pumpkin pie and Christmas cookies, this might not be such a bad thing. However, staying active in winter not only makes it easier to eventually get back into a swimsuit, it also helps keep away any seasonal depression symptoms.
November is here! The frenzy leading up to the holidays begins. Craft fairs galore this month and so many other fun activities. This is in no way intended to be a comprehensive event guide. In September, my husband and I were blessed with our fifth baby! It seems surreal. What most people don’t know, is that our precious boy is really our 9th child.  October is Miscarriage and Infant Loss Awareness month and the ache hits close to home as I hold my newborn.  I haven’t forgotten, nor will I ever forget, the babes that I did not get to hold this side of heaven.

Before allowing myself to spend another second thinking of how guilty I felt, I brainstormed something much more doable for our family. An alternative baby book.
Some moms surreptitiously sneak handfuls of candy into the trash can – or into their own mouths – until the stash is gone. I let my girls keep a few weeks’ worth of their favorite treats. This is how I sort out the rest:
