Family Fun at Bay Beach Amusement Park

Summer is right around the corner and I’ve got a suggestion for you! Come visit Bay Beach Amusement Park! If you haven’t been to Bay Beach, you need to go. If it’s been a while, what are you waiting for?

Filled with over 20 rides along the bay of Green Bay you’re bound to have a great time!

Ticket prices are .25 per ticket, which means you’re guaranteed to not break the bank for a full day of family fun! Admission into the park is free and rides are one to four tickets each. And, your tickets never expire! Who doesn’t love all that?

Bay Beach Amusement Park has rides for all ages; from itty bitty to adult. You’ll find a list of all the rides here along with their ticket and height requirements.

We recently took a trip to Bay Beach for a homeschool meet-up… we spent over five hours there! Be sure to wear really good walking shoes and bring sunscreen! You’ll need both!

Bay Beach Amusement Park has a great layout actually. Only a handful of the rides are not centrally located. Those are the thrill-seeking rides like the Giant Slide, Sea Dragon, Falling Star, and Zippin Pippin.

I haven’t had to worry about most of those rides until this year. My kids were a bit too small for some of them until now. That’s what happens when kids grow up. They become braver. Braver than mom even.

It kinda hit this momma in the heart when I saw my kids transition from kiddie rides to family rides then onto the thrill rides. I definitely wasn’t ready for it.

When my kids were tiny their favorite kiddie rides were the SkyFighters, Chairplanes, Helicopters, and Boats. As they got older we moved on to more of the family rides that we could ride together, like the Rockin’ Tug, Scrambler, and Tilt-A-Whirl.

I wish they were still small enough to ride the Helicopters. The Tilt-A-Whirl has me all green at the gills lately.

They still love the family rides at Bay Beach and I can ride some of them with them, but I was in a panic for a bit when my nine-year-old insisted she was ready for the Zippin Pippin.

The Zippin Pippin. Bay Beach’s wooden roller coaster.

I really, really tried to sway her from going on it. I didn’t sway enough. She loved it! Her love for it convinced my twelve-year-old onto it. He also loved it. I still don’t love it. I am not a thrill-seeker anymore. Helicopters, that’s my speed.

I can’t forget to tell you about the Giant Slide. It’s another kid/family favorite. Grab your gunny sack and get ready to race on down! Again and again and again. It is not for those who are afraid of heights. Like me.

If your kids are like mine, they are always hungry. Luckily there are concession stands and the main pavilion is filled with lots and lots of goodies!

Another wonderful option is a shelter rental. They are available for just about any type of gathering at Bay Beach Amusement Park. You can visit Shelter-Rentals for all the “deets” as the kids say these days. They do still say that, right?

If you’re looking for even more fun, adventure on over across the street to the go-karts and mini-golf course. But, before you go, check out the gift shop and grab yourself a souvenir, just be sure you’ve had time for a train ride! Everyone loves the train. Go ride the train!

I really hope you find some time to visit Bay Beach Amusement Park. Maybe you should put it on your summer bucket list, but hurry, their season ends September 30th!
