We have partnered with Football Matters, a National Football Foundation initiative, which celebrates the positive impact the game has made on millions of players, coaches, administrators, volunteers, and fans nationwide to bring you this guide to gameday at Lambeau Field.

Football. Almost synonymous with Green Bay. We are, after all, Titletown. If you have not read the history of the Packers and how we became a community-owned team, you must read it.

It is a fantastic story of overcoming adversity and staying committed to a dream. The Packers are the only professional team owned by its community, not only in football but in all of sports. We take great pride in our team, and we always support our green and gold.

Attending a game at Lambeau Field is an experience like no other. The energy of the crowd is exhilarating and contagious. We are always hailed to be the best fans in the sport, and we definitely are. Kindness abounds, and Packer pride is strong. What could be better?

There are a few important things to know when attending a game at Lambeau Field and we’ve got you covered!

PARKING AT LAMBEAU FIELD

Most of the parking lots at Lambeau Field are reserved for season parking pass ticket holders, but the lot off Ridge Road is $40 cash and opens 4 hours before the game.

Many people, including myself, choose to park on the neighboring streets and walk to the stadium. Many homes also offer parking in their front yards and usually charge between $10-$25 based on the proximity to the field. Just remember you’ll be driving off the curb to get out, so low clearance cars will want to park elsewhere.

PREGAME

Tailgating before the game is unquestionably part of the fun at Lambeau. Tailgating in the parking lots is permitted, so bring your small charcoal or LP gas grill to cook up some burgers or brats before the game!

Not into the “bring your own” style? Head over to the Johnsonville Tailgate Village for food, drinks, music, and fun! It’s free! They even have 35 televisions to watch the game on in case you don’t have tickets!

Titletown also hosts its own Titletown Gameday Live with music, food, beverages, and more!

TICKETS

It is imperative to note that every single person needs a ticket at Lambeau Field, and that includes babies.

BAG POLICY AT LAMBEAU FIELD

Another essential thing to know is the carry-in policy. Strollers, diaper bags, purses, totes, etc. are not allowed into Lambeau Field. You can have a clear gallon size Ziploc bag or a clear purse that is not bigger than 12x6x12 inches or a small clutch no bigger than 4.5×6.5 inches. You can find the full details of their carry-in policy here. You will have to walk back to your car or dispose of the item if it does not meet the criteria.

BREASTFEEDING & PUMPING MOMS

You can bring a breast pump into Lambeau Field, and it doesn’t have to be in a clear tote. Breast Pumps are considered medical equipment.  All you need to do is get a medical tag on your pumping bag from a police officer at any of the gates.  They will search your bag first.

There is also a pumping/nursing room with comfy chairs and a television in the Atrium with space for 2. It is locked, so you need to ask for the key from the service desk.

HAVE FUN AT LAMBEAU FIELD, YELL LOUD, GO PACK GO!

While you’re there, be sure to visit Titletown Park! It is an excellent park for kids of all ages! Have your kids run the length of their full-size football field! Or toss a ball around and score a touchdown!!!

My husband and I have used Packers games as our date night thus far, since our kids are only toddlers.  But I am so excited to bring my kids to a game!  I can’t wait to share the excitement of the game, cheering for our team, and creating amazing memories together.

We love playing catch during the games when we’re at home too and it’s just a fun way to be a part of the game.  If my son decides to play football when he’s older, I love knowing that technology continues to make the game of football even better.

Did you know that smart mouthguards can actually assess the impact of a hit?  It can tell the amount of acceleration in a hit and help doctors and medical staff evaluate the risk of a concussion more accurately.  It is amazing what technology can do!

Helmet technology is at the forefront of research at many colleges and private companies.  There are so many brilliant minds working on ways to better protect players at all levels.  Interested in which one is the best?  Virginia Tech studied various helmets and found the VICIS Zero1 helmet to be the best for youth football!

Football is already good, but these technology advancements make it even better for the players, parents, families, and communities.

Football Matters to our family, our community, and our team!  GO PACK GO!!!  For more information on the good of the game of football, getting your child involved, and more, check out the Football Matters site or on Facebook or Instagram.
