Green Bay Area Moms Blog has a NEW owner!

RuthBittersweet. This word has become a regular in my vocabulary since deciding to sell GBAMB. Bringing a City Moms Blog Network site to Green Bay was very out of my comfort zone, but something I felt was missing in our community. I was the proverbial fish out of water. But, I believe that is why this experience has been so rewarding. We launched on August 15, 2016 – my fourth child was born July 26, 2016. To say the last two and a half years have been a blur would be an understatement. That said, as I continue to work outside of the blog, do my best at raising four good humans and strive to be the best wife I can be, I came to the difficult decision that something had to give.

Without going into a long and emotional story (no more tears needed! GAH!), I can simply say Amanda Lawniczak entered at exactly the right time. She is so passionate. Passionate about community. Passionate about motherhood. Passionate about bringing resources to parents in Northeast Wisconsin. GBAMB is in good hands. I cannot wait to see this wonderful community soar under her leadership.

Finally, thank you. Thank you to those who have contributed their stories and perspectives on parenthood for all of us to appreciate. Thank you for giving your time. I know that is something we are all short on. Thank you to all of you who have followed along. Thank you to all of you who have supported us from the very beginning. Thank you to all of our community partners who believe in the mission of GBAMB. It’s been an honor and a privilege.

First off, I want to thank Ruth for the love and dedication she put into growing this great community of Moms.  Her passion has been the driving force that brought everyone together and I am forever grateful.  I can’t wait to continue the growth and value of this blog for all of you!

My name is Amanda Lawniczak and I am excited to be the new owner of the Green Bay Area Moms Blog which serves Green Bay and the Fox Valley!!  I live in Suamico, am married to my husband Adam, have two beautiful children, Nora (4) and Logan (2), and have two dogs and two cats!!

I have been blessed to be a stay at home mom since my daughter was born.  Prior to that, my previous careers included selling auto and home insurance, being a case manager for a tri county human services, working at an after-school program, and coordinating a music and movement program for babies and toddlers.

I have a Master of Arts degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.  I am originally from the Milwaukee area, but moved to Green Bay after meeting my husband and I then finished my schooling at UWGB.

I fell in love with the area during college and knew that this was where I was meant to live.  After I finished my Masters, my husband and I moved to Rhinelander for his job.  While living up north was nice, we were lucky enough to move to Green Bay a few years later.

My husband and I love fishing year-round and we are enjoying sharing this love with our children!  I love spending time outdoors, kayaking, boating, and spending time with my mom tribe!

My vision for Green Bay Area Moms Blog (GBAMB) is that it will be THE resource that Moms in the community trust and turn to when looking for support, encouragement, and resources for their families.  Moms will feel that GBAMB is a caring and supportive network that meets their needs.  And my mission is that GBAMB supports, encourages, and uplifts Moms through information and inspirational blog posts and through our GBAMB community of Moms, while connecting Moms to the resources in our communities.

I appreciate your patience and support through this transition.  Ruth has created an amazing community of Moms and I look forward to growing it even further and getting to know all of you!

Leave a comment wishing Ruth all the best!!!
